I have seen many people asking about their dilemma of choosing their affiliate partner. And the involvement of money and time makes this research more logical.
Here are few of the points which I think can be useful while deciding your program.
- It should be free to join. I think this is important as well.
- Should give good commissions. Ideally, should be above 15%.
- How well you know them. Do your homework properly before signing the contract. Collect as much information you can about them. Like, their support system, their payouts, etc. You can search them on SE’s.
- You can also check for Referral programs as well. Whether they have it or not. As if you prefer your friends into their program, how they reward you.
- Scan their Terms and Conditions very seriously.
- Chew their Cookies properly. As you would prefer your cookie to stay as long as possible. As there are many around who doesn’t pay on add-on sales. Many programs offer 25-45% or more in commissions and also leave your cookie for 2-3 months.
- Inquire about their Check returns, charge backs, fees, and payment schedule.
- Be an active partner. Thousand’s sign-up, but many are effectively inactive affiliates. You don’t want yourself to be like them. Isn’t it? Take the assignment seriously. Spend time and promote your product.
These are few of the basic points that we can put into consideration while deciding. If I have missed any, please put at as a comment to make this post a complete guide.
