Apple iPad – Will it be an iTop or an iFlop?

After so much of hype and drama, on 27th Jan Steve Job unveiled iPad. Everyone was excited and had lot of expectations.

People also talked about Smartphone’s killer or a bridge between a smartphones and laptops. Only the time But only time will answer as to do we really need something in between. We have already witnessed some cool next generation smartphones, which are already making a strong case for overpowering laptops and now a war for small devices such as iPad and others in the queue raised a question which I think needs to be answered.

We have already seen people talking about some issues with the iPad.. and some bloggers are already having a great time on some funny topic to talk about on Social Platform.

Some of the notable issues that we can pen down in seconds are:

The Identity

The name iPad is too close to iPod and might confuse the brand spread. And more over, Apple doesn’t own all the related domains which itself raised some questions on the strategy for choosing the name.

And infact, see this funny Video on Mad TV iPad Skirt which was aired long time back…

Lack of Multitasking

It would have been a blessing if iPad had bundled with Multitasking. This was something that everyone anticipated and is really disappointing for a company like Apple to ignore it. Or looks like Apple were in a hurry to get the Product out.

No Camera

As iPad doesn’t come with a camera, so it means you can’t use it for any Video Chat, which is very disappointing.  A device like iPad should’ve at least came with a build in camera. And if you want to connect your camera to an iPad then you have to deal with a ridiculously huge adapter

No Flash

Yes, you saw that right. The device is not Flash Compatible and it means you have a limitation to access different kind of webpages.

There are so many other notable issues, which if I have to write then this would be endless post.

Nevertheless, I wish iPad all the best. It was in my buying list but now…I think I am bit hesitant to go for it.
